One day a year is not enough to offer Thanksgiving to God for all He has done, according to Pastor Cleddie Keith. In a recent message, he shared his intention to express gratitude in two letters over the coming weeks. He encouraged others to reflect on their blessings and give thanks.
Keith cited one of his favorite singers and songwriters, Andre Crouch, whose lyrics often resonate with him: "How can I say thanks? For the things You have done for me?" These words remind him of the importance of gratitude.
He emphasized that living a life full of thankfulness can influence those around us positively. "Thanks-living becomes a contagious lifestyle," he noted.
Keith also spoke about moments when he finds himself praying subconsciously and realizes that God is in control. He described this as "leaning on the everlasting arms."
Drawing inspiration from biblical figures like David, who recognized God's unseen paths, Keith urged people to make thanksgiving perpetual. He posed a reflective question: "Is your cup empty or full?"
Quoting Psalm 34:10 KJV, Keith highlighted that those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Similarly, Psalm 26:7 encourages sharing thanksgiving and telling of wondrous works.
In closing, Keith expressed his commitment to praising the Lord continually, describing himself as "a two-legged agent of Thanksgiving."
