Florence—Charles Clyde Tolbert, aged 76, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2025. Born on November 11, 1948, in Bluefield, WV, to Charles B. Tolbert and Mildred L. Thomas, Charles was a proud U.S. Army veteran and retired security officer with the Hamilton County Public Library. He was a valued member of Kentaboo Baptist Church in Florence, KY, actively participating in various veteran organizations like the VFW, Vietnam Veterans of America, American Legion, Patriot Guard Riders, and the NRA.

Remembered by his family, Charles is survived by his daughter Jennifer Lynne Hooker (Josh), son Rome Tolbert, grandchildren Scott Tolbert and Lorianne Hooker, step-sister Mary Ann Middendorf (Rick), and aunt Ruby Huff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Kawahora.

A memorial service in honor of Charles’s life and service will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Kentaboo Baptist Church in Florence, KY. Following the service, Charles will be laid to rest at Burlington Cemetery.
