The City of Florence has announced a Christmas Card Contest aimed at students from grades 1 to 8. The initiative encourages young artists to express their creativity and spread holiday cheer among local seniors.
Participants are invited to design a Christmas card reflecting what makes the holiday special to them, with themes ranging from reindeer and snowflakes to gingerbread cookies. Each submission should include the child's first name, grade, and an adult contact number on the back of the card.
Winners will be selected in four grade brackets: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. Additionally, Mayor Aubuchon will choose a special Mayor’s Choice award. The winning designs will be revealed by Mayor Aubuchon during the Christmas Tree Lighting event on December 3rd.
The deadline for contest entries is November 26th, with submissions directed to the Administration Department. Extra holiday cards intended for seniors can be submitted until December 13th at the same location.
For further inquiries, individuals can contact the Administration Department at 859-647-8177.
