The Florence Police Department has announced the return of its Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Camp. The program is designed for local youth, specifically Boone County students who will be entering the 6th or 7th grade in the upcoming school year. The camp is scheduled to run from June 24 to June 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with preference given to residents of the City of Florence.
This program aims to introduce students to crime scene investigation and forensic techniques while providing insights into law enforcement operations. Participants will learn directly from Florence Police officers.
Interested students must complete an application form, which can be downloaded online. Parents are encouraged to assist with the application process; however, students must write their own response explaining their interest in attending the camp.
Applications should be emailed to Sgt. Samantha Riley at samantha.riley@florence-ky.gov or delivered in person at the Florence Police Department. The deadline for applications is June 20, 2025, and selected applicants will be notified by June 23, 2025.
