I felt a blast of Thanksgiving this morning, it was like an arctic clipper from the North that hits you right in the face on a winter morning. It was inebriating and refreshing to say the least.
IT FELT LIKE THIS:
"Oh, come, let us sing to the Lord! Give a joyous shout in honor of the Rock of our salvation! Come before him with THANKFUL HEARTS. Let us sing him psalms of praise. For the Lord is a great God, the great King of all gods. He controls the formation of the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains; all are his. He made the sea and formed the land; they too are his. Come, kneel before the Lord our Maker, for he is our God. We are his sheep, and he is our Shepherd. Oh, that you would hear him calling you today and come to him!" Psalm 95:1-7 Living Bible
We can learn a lot from King David when it comes to thanksgiving and praise.
"Blessed be God— He heard me praying. He proved He's on my side; I've thrown my lot in with him. Now I'm jumping for joy and shouting and singing my thanks to him." Psalm 28:6-7
I am gearing up for Thanksgiving Day and ask you to join with me as we celebrate His watch care over us.
"What a beautiful thing, God, to give thanks, to sing an anthem to you, the High God! To announce your love each day break, sing your faithful presence all through the night, Accompanied by dulcimer and harp, the full-bodied music of strings." Psalm 92:1-3
In that His love never quits, our praise and thanksgiving should never give up.
"Thank God! He deserves your thanks. His love never quits. Thank the God of all gods; His love never quits. Thank the Lord of all lords; His love never quits." Psalm 136:1-3
In Ephesians 5:4 it states Thanksgiving is our Dialect. It is even more of a revelation when you realize what is spoken of in Thessalonians.
"And now we look back on all this and thank God—a GEYSER OF THANKS! When you got the Message of God we preached, you didn't pass it off as just one more human opinion but took it to heart as God's true word to you—which it is—God himself at work in you believers!" 1 Thessalonians 2:13
WHAT DOES THE END OF THE BOOK HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS?
"I looked again. I saw a huge crowd too huge to count—everyone was there—all nations and tribes—all races and languages—and they were standing dressed in white robes waving palm branches standing before Throne Lamb heartily singing Salvation Throne Lamb All who were standing around Throne Angels Elders Animals fell faces worshiped singing blessing glory wisdom THANKSGIVING honor power strength forever ever Oh Yes!" Revelation 7:9-12
