Kenneth Wayne Turner, Beloved Father and Marine Corps Veteran, Passes Away at 78

Kenneth Wayne Turner, 78, of Verona, peacefully passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. Born in Covington, Kentucky, Wayne was the son of the late Bill and Stella Turner. He is survived by his loving daughters, Amberly Dehner (Darrell) and Stephanie Turner, as well as his grandchildren, Kerrick Turner, Mehryn Toole, Kylie Jane Toole, and Ryan Toole. Wayne also leaves behind his brother, Tom Turner (Pat), and several nieces and nephews.

Wayne proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was known for his culinary skills, particularly for his delicious barbecue sauce creations. In his youth, he enjoyed horseback riding and fishing, passions that remained close to his heart throughout his life. Wayne found solace in sitting on his porch and appreciating the beauty of nature that surrounded him.

Wayne is preceded in death by his companion, Mary Turner, and his brothers, Jake and Bobby Joe Turner.

Visitation in memory of Wayne will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 5 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, Kentucky.
