The Florence Community Band is set to perform at an event on December 2. The concert will commence at 2 p.m. at the Main Branch of the Boone County Library, located at 1786 Burlington Pike in Burlington, opposite Kroger.
According to the band, an encore performance is scheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. This event will take place at Latonia Christian Church, situated at 3900 Decoursey Avenue in Covington.
Both concerts are free of charge and designed to be family-friendly.
The Florence Community Band operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and comprises 82 volunteer musicians. These members include music majors, retired band directors, high school band students, and music enthusiasts who perform a variety of musical styles. Annually, they deliver between 12 to 15 concerts and receive sponsorship from the City of Florence.
