Floyd Calvert Ellis, 84, of Florence, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, to Wallace and Polly Ellis, Floyd's life was characterized by love and resilience.

Floyd is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce Ellis; his son, Len Ellis; stepson, Jeffrey R. Ziegler; and stepdaughter, Nichol Ziegler (Jim). He found great joy in his grandchildren, Jenna Ellis and Hayden Ellis, and his step-grandchildren, Noah and Sam. Floyd is also remembered by his half-sister, Dawn Nash.

A United States Army veteran, Floyd's service underscored his commitment to country and community. As the founder and owner of Interstate Asphalt, he exemplified an industrious spirit. Floyd cherished outdoor activities such as fishing and golf, finding solace and happiness in these pursuits. With Joyce, he embarked on adventures worldwide, creating enduring memories. He will be dearly missed for the love and warmth he shared with loved ones.

A visitation to celebrate Floyd's life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, KY, beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
