Youth program offers insight into local government operations

The City of Florence is hosting a Youth in Government Evening Program on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. This event will take place at the Florence Government Center located at 8100 Ewing Blvd, Florence, Kentucky. It will be held in the Lower Level Community Rooms from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This program is free and accessible to all ages. Attendees will have the chance to engage with various city departments through interactive sessions. The police department will offer insights into law enforcement practices, including demonstrations by a K9 officer. The Fire/EMS department will present their efforts in ensuring community safety, while the Public Services Department will explain how local government services support residents' well-being.

After the program concludes, participants can attend a Florence City Council meeting in Council Chambers to observe local governance firsthand. This experience is designed to inspire and empower future leaders.
