Susan Nielsen, 86, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born, raised, and lived most of her adult life in Rochester, New York, before relocating to Ocala, Florida during her early retirement years, and eventually settling in Florence, Kentucky. Susan is survived by her sister, Sandy Boyd, her children Robert, David, and Lynn Nielsen, her grandchildren Thomas, Kim, and MaryLi Nielsen, and great grandchildren Olivia, Camille, and Lilybelle Nielsen. She is also survived by her nephews Ned and Darren Boyd, along with several great nieces and nephews. Nielsen enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, sailing, painting ceramics, sewing, and watching football and baseball. A private service will be held by the immediate family at a later date.
