Betty Sexton, 97, Passes Away in Florence

Betty Sexton, 97, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. She was born in Erlanger to her late parents, Carl and Deborah Connelly. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Steelman and Shirley Sexton, her son Charles Slayback II, her daughter Rena Volpenhein, and her sister Janet Mason.

Betty is survived by her daughters Charlene Mayes and Deborah Knox, along with six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She worked for the Boone County Board of Education and was a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery in Hebron, Kentucky. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.stithfuneralhome.com.
