Ryle High School recently hosted the 10th annual Gross Motor Skills Track and Field Day on its football field. The event was designed for medically complex students to engage in recreational games and track activities, with a focus on enhancing cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

More than 700 participants, including students, volunteers, and staff, took part in the day's activities. Students enjoyed pizza for lunch along with healthy snacks and water throughout the event. Three other school districts from Northern Kentucky—Walton-Verona, Kenton, and Campbell counties—also participated.

Each student received a medal for their participation. Volunteer students wore gray shirts as they assisted their "buddies" in orange shirts. Teachers and other staff members also donned gray shirts while helping out during the event.
