An event focused on increasing the understanding of youth mental health took place at Crossroads Church in Florence. This gathering was sponsored by Ethan's Purpose, the Boone County School District, and Crossroads Church.

The event featured performances from all four Boone County High School bands and choirs. A concert of uplifting music was organized by Boone County High School band director Dan Barnhill and his wife, Ryle High School choral director Lauren Barnhill. The performances included 180 band students and 60 choir students.

After the musical performances, former sports reporter turned mental health advocate Brandon Saho delivered a keynote speech. Saho, known for his work with The Mental Game podcast, shared his personal story. He emphasized that "talking about mental health saves lives" and encouraged individuals to speak to someone before taking drastic actions.

Following the keynote address, attendees participated in breakout sessions tailored for adults and students. These sessions aimed to discuss breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage seeking help.

Mental health professionals were present during this free event to offer resources and support.
